VGC - For a day

For a day, A Leo's story

Leo sat silently on the balcony of his and Aeris's apartment, Quietly he looked down onto the busy Toronto streets, cars going too and fro, People mulling about their everyday events, He saw familiar faces walking out of his apartment complex, friends and... enemies.

Seldom has he ever contemplated just sitting and watching over playing video games, but something was different today, Something made him want to just relax, see the world, get some air, So for a day he decided to just watch. He looked up ahead of the street, a couple was blissfully strolling down it passing by a dumpster with Dr. Hobo hanging out of it, who happens to notice the two and stopped them, Leo couldn't hear what was being said but he assumed it was just another one of his tales of the future or something.

Moving on leo took note of a small car crash three streets ahead, taking a moment to hope no one was badly hurt he moved his attention elsewhere. He looked down at the nearby park saw a few of his feline friends and their dates hanging out by the swings, A swoosh of yellow, a flash of orange, he smiled, happy they were enjoying themselves.

Leo thought about a time when he and Aeris we're happy to e together, it was Christmas, Aeris wanted a new game but was broke, He remember to act like he didn’t notice but, when aeris wasn't looking he grabbed what he thought she grabbed, now knowing it was the wrong one but at least he tried, He was surprised at the reward for it although he coulda' sworn it a lil' different then he remembered.

He looked up stopping for a moment to see pantsman atop a building looking down, like him, shocked that Scott was doing something other then getting drunk and making comics about talking dogs...

Leo thought back to when he and pantsman had teamed up, and leo was made one of pantsmans sidekick's, that was fun... Leo still wasn't entirely sure why he had to wear his underwear on his head. But the crime fighting they did was fun and indeed glorious, except for the part where they were stuck in jail and almost got raped. Everything else... that was fun.

Today has been full of surprises leo though once again looking elsewhere, Receding back into thought, He remembered a time when Aeris was at the arcade and was given a baby, at first she didn't want it, but he remembered how she felt having had it's neck broken by the same psychopath who gave it to her. Leo remembered that was both a traumatizing and emotionally stressing event. When she'd came home she was calling his name all the way from the door. Tears in her eyes “Leo... Leo... Leo”

At the time he had no idea what happened but he can still hear how she called his name. It's was almost realistic now. It was so close that he could almost all but hear it in his head. Least that was before he felt a rather hard object hit his head.

“LEO, I've been calling you for almost 10 minutes, dinners ready get inside” Leo shook the shock out of his body as he picked and dusted himself off, he nodded to her as she walked away, taking a glance at the sunset before heading in
