Chapter 5. : Pata-What pt. 1

Leo's POV
Why do I feel pain? Ugh……Where am I? I open my eyes only to see darkness and a faint voice exclaiming Pata-Pata-Pata-Pon. Seriously what is Patapon? I turn around to observe my surroundings and saw a paper and pen floating in the air. I walked to it and grabbed both items.
On the paper read:
"I hereby pledge to honor and keep my promise to be the Great Leader of the Patapons and help them reach Earthend.
I will not stray from my goal, even in face of death or great peril. Even at moments of weakness, I will keep the beat and feel the rhythm of the great earth.
From this point forward, I promise to keep my pledge and take this drum of courage and be the Mighty Leader I was meant to be..."
"Sign here to approve this pledge."

So many questions I have, but no answers. For starters. What drum of courage I don't see any drum in sight? What the hell? I still don't know what is a Patapon. What's Earthend? I let go of the paper and turned around. I noticed the cube had fallen out of my pocket. I walked to it. As I was about to grab it A hologram appears in front of me and explains that if I can guide these so called Patapons to this place Earthend, it will unlock a portal to the next keystone. The hologram then vanishes into thin air. I just kept thinking if Aeris is alright all alone. I check my gear "katana, rifle, supplies alright every thing is in check ……Agh dammit…Alright I'll sign this pledge only if it means getting another keystone. I signed the paper and the paper pops into a blue drum.
"Pon Pon Pon" It says. The drum then jumps to me and I catch it. I looked around and noticed that my surroundings have changed from everything dark to like a beach setting. And on the beach was a little black circle with legs and arms. Next to it was a flag. Is that a Patapon? It seems unconscious. I voice out of nowhere and says, "Strike the drum with the beat of the earth."
"Hah!! What beat?" I said in anger. Then a loud thump came up and kept in time going dun dun dun dun. I like this rhythm and I pounded on the drum with the rhythm which went, Pon-Pon-Pon-Pon. I then notice that the little kritter got up in rhythm singing the same sound of my drum, Pon-Pon-Pon-Pon.
"Whoa I just regained all the energy through that beat." The little patapon says. He then looks up and asks "Mighty Patapon is that you?" I answered with a G.I. Joe accent "Yes it is I the Mighty Patapon." (HeeHee this is going to be fun) Leo thought still pounding on his drum "This is great my name is Hatapon, here take this drum," Hatapon holds up a red drum which slowly fades from his hands into mine. The drum then floats and says "Pata-Pata-Pata!!!!" then rests it self on my hands. I couldn't believe this, I am able to control these little guys. I couldn't but imagine what I could've done in the real world with these little guys. I snicker a bit and look towards to see Hatapon on his knees praying. I heard him say "Oh Mighty Patapon please help us poor Patapons, give us strength. Here's a song we Patapons no as march forward."
I then heard the same beat as before. "Oh so this is the beat of the Earth." I was stunned and a little bit intimidated with the beat then heard Hatapon say Pata-Pata-Pata-Pon. I looked at the drums and put them down. I put the red drum to my right and the blue to my left.
"Alright let's get this party started!!!!" I said ready to bang on the drums. The beat of the earth went in me and I responded with Pata-Pata-Pata-Pon. Then the Hatapon marched forward repeating what the drums said. I then stop beating the drums and noticed Hatapon get frustrated when I stopped. So if I stop that will piss them off. I again bang the drums in sync with the rhythm of the earth Pata-Pata-Pata-Pon, and while Hatapon repeats the sounds I again hit a drum and he stops.
Huh? So I have to alternate between me hitting 4 drums and him saying what I played…….The cogs in my brain were running….. Alright let's do this. Man, Aeris sure does know how to choose good games. Pata-Pata-Pata-Pon!!! So after a bunch of drum banging another patapon came out of a bush. He had a spear with him. "Hey Hatapon. What's that sound? It's riveting!!"
"Hi Yaripon. It's the mighty Patapon."
"Alright let's go back to base and Party!!!!"
Two other Patapons that exactly looked the same came out of the same bush and joined Hatapon.
I love banging on this drums it's fun. :3
Still moving along the beach I saw other little kritters but these guys wore masks.
They silently whispered "Heh we should report these sightings of Patapons to the general. Hail Karmens!!" I just ignored them and continued with mah  bad ass rhythm.
We finally arrived at the base. And there were a major shit load of Patapons. A distinct patapon came out and said "Hello Mighty Patapon I'm Meden, the priestess of Patapons. And we should celebrate your coming to us, but we need you to do something for us first?
What, I'm the mighty one and yet I have to something for them? I just couldn't help but roll my eyes.
Aeris's POV
"Oh my god, Leo…..I'm so sorry." I had tears rolling on my face. (I can't believe I feel so unsecure with out him. I just hope he's okay). Aeris thought as she stood up checking her 9 mil. She then checked her gear and sat down to think to her self.
